East Meadow Kiwanis is proud to sponsor a Builders Club at Woodland Middle School and WT Clarke Middle School and The Eden II School. Builders Club is open to any middle school student who wants to join. These clubs provide any student who is interested in performing community service an opportunity to do so by joining Builders Club. Because Middle school bridges the gap between childhood and young adulthood, it presents young people with unique challenges and opportunities. Kiwanians believe that young people need and want new and exciting challenges. We also believe that positive efforts and involvement by adults can channel a child’s energy to help in their personal development of a happy and productive life. Builders Club helps to build strong leaders for tomorrow…today.
We strive to fulfill the Kiwanis vision of changing the world, one child and one community at a time. Our mission is to help educate our children, support our community, and establish ourselves as the premier service organization in East Meadow.
The annual Field of Honor flag display will be installed on October 30th at both Clarke and East Meadow High Schools. The Field of Honor is a way to recognize those who have served and are currently serving in our armed services. Athletes Helping Athletes student leadership groups from Clarke and EMHS, along with the East Meadow Kiwanis Club asks that you consider sponsoring a flag. Flags that are sponsored will be tagged with your name and who it is in honor of. When the flags come down in December it is yours to keep or you can leave it to be renewed next year. Funds raised are donated to Military charities and support services such as The Navy SEAL Foundation, Paws for Soldiers, Honor Flight, and many others over the years. ... See MoreSee Less
