Kiwanis Club of East Meadow Dr. Frank Saricino Senior and Veterans Dinner
Kids need Kiwanis
Through the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, US$2.25 addresses the needs of one child. Imagine the possibilities if we raised US$25 million — enough for Kiwanis clubs and members to serve 10 million children around the world. That’s the goal of The Possibility Project. Join the first fundraising campaign that solely supports Kiwanis and the children we serve.
Our club has signed up to be an Impact Club, impacting 10 million children worldwide. It’s about turning compassion into action and changing the world, one child at a time, through our Kiwanis-led service projects. Join us! Kiwanis.org/impactclub
Community service is our primary goal. At the Kiwanis Club of East Meadow, we strive to fulfill the Kiwanis vision of changing the world, one child and one community at a time. Through the participation of our members, we help to educate our children, support our community, and establish ourselves as the premier service organization in East Meadow. Here on our web site, you can find out about how we are working to accomplish this mission and why. Over the years, we have completed numerous community service projects. We send 33 children each year to a week of sleep away camp at Kamp Kiwanis, sponsor an annual Senior Thanksgiving Dinner serving over 500 seniors, distribute over 125 holiday food baskets three times per year to needy families, and provide $6,000 in scholarships to students in our community each year with a total to date of over $120,000. This is but a short list of our many accomplishments. We welcome you to come visit us at our meetings Tuesday night at 7:15pm
Kiwanis helps kids around the world. Our Kiwanis club looks out for our community and the Kiwanis international organization takes on large-scale challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty. Our Kiwanis club is generous with its time. We are creative with our ideas. We are passionate about making a difference. And we have fun along the way!
For more than a century, Kiwanis has created opportunities for children to be curious, safe and healthy regardless of the community in which they live. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things can happen.
The Kiwanis Mission & Vision
Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children. Kiwanis strives to be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive. Our Kiwanis club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through Kiwanis Community Service Projects
Kiwanis Service
Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club — K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.
Are you ready to help create communities that let all children thrive, prosper and grow? It’s pretty easy to do! Simply contact us with your questions and apply for Kiwanis club membership here.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Curry on May 1, 2026, following a courageous battle with glioblastoma. Patrick was a dedicated Kiwanian, Past President of the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce, and a longtime partner at the legal firm Rosenthal, Curry & Krantz.
Patrick’s legacy of service is extensive. In 2026, he was honored with the inaugural Patrick Curry Legend Award for his invaluable contributions to the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce, where he oversaw record membership growth and the opening of Veterans Memorial Park. In 2025, he was named Volunteer of the Year by the Salvation Army and received the New York District Kiwanis Everyday Hero Award.
His commitment to the community included 33 years of chairing the St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon for the Garden City Kiwanis and launching the Civility Campaign for Garden City High School graduates. He also served on the board of the Lutheran Counseling Center and was a steadfast supporter of the Adelphi Circle K Club. Patrick was a great friend to the East Meadow Kiwanis Club and we always appreciated his faith, loyalty and humor on the many visits he made to our club.
Patrick will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife, Suki, and the entire Curry family.
